Hatz at Bauma 2022

Hatz at Bauma: Digital and analog innovations for machine owners, operators and manufacturers

The Motorenfabrik Hatz has transformed from a manufacturer of high-quality, compact diesel engines into a technology company. Alternative drives, sustainability and digital solutions for machine operators are just as much a part of the range on offer from the Ruhstorf company as the traditional diesel engines. The benefits resulting from this combination can be experienced live at the Bauma 2022 trade fair in October in Munich.

Maximized environmental protection and occupational safety

At Bauma, Hatz is presenting the first serial production diesel particulate filter for single-cylinder diesel engines. The filter system reduces the emissions of the compact drives enormously, which protects the environment and the health of the machine operator. The special feature: Machines with this technology may be operated in trenches, tunnels or underground garages without additional respiratory protection measures.

Always the right drive system

At the trade show, the engine experts will present precisely tailored drive systems that will be needed in compact construction machinery in the future. The focus is on the further development of the combustion engine as well as the development of hybrid and electric drive concepts: Hatz is open to all technologies when it comes to the choice of the drive system. The right solution for the respective application, that is the goal.

Hatz will also be showcasing digital services and IoT features that let machine owners and operators make the most out of their engines and machines. These innovations are made possible by decades of experience in the development of leading drive solutions and many years of building up excellent application knowledge for the construction industry, municipal and agricultural technology.

Digital service modules

With the new Digital Service Portal, Hatz offers workshops and machine operators a one-stop information center in which all maintenance-relevant data is bundled: a resource for maintenance and repair instructions as well as a link to digital engine diagnostics and digital engine registration, among other things.

Electric modular drive system for alternative machine concepts

For the increasing electrification and automation on the construction site, Hatz will be demonstrating the possibilities of the newly developed electric system construction kit. In an application-neutral manner, it presents possibilities for mobile robotics and opens up new opportunities for making alternative machine concepts a reality on the construction site and establishing autonomous processes down to the smallest equipment class.

Digital support for machine operation

Hatz Digital Solutions enable machine operators to integrate even the most compact machines into their digital processes and environments. With a plug-and-play capable IoT module, engine or machine data is transferred to the cloud. Optimized fleet management and even semi-automated maintenance processes become a reality.
