BAUMA 2007, the biggest fair for construction machinery world-wide Hatz has participated as an exhibitor since 1954 - right from the start !

This year again, Hatz was present at the fair with a spacious booth. The Bauma came into being in 1954. At that time, 58 exhibitors, 8,000 specialist visitors and 12,000 square meters of open-air exhibition area on Munich's Theresienwiese were numbers to be proud of. 53 years later, the new exhibition area (the former Munich-Riem airport) boasts 500,000 square meters consisting of covered exhibition area in the pavilions and outside. In 2004, approx. 2,800 exhibitors and over 400,000 visitors took part. With these data, the Bauma is the largest fair for construction machinery world-wide and an international meeting point for the entire industry as regards the presentation of new technologies in the construction sector. Even the "Mining" sector has been presented at Bauma since 2004. This year, Hatz was also represented at the fair with a 156 sq.m. booth where the latest trends are shown to test the level of interest shown by the market. This year, our totally enclosed, oil-cooled 1B engine was presented to the trade on a neutral vibratory plate compactor. Special advantage of this design: the low noise emission which is an essential contribution by Hatz to compliance with future noise limits. The engine is cooled not with air, but using oil as a medium, via a heat exchanger. A PM Generator (Permanent Magnet Generator) flanged to the crankshaft of the 1GB engine will also be on display. Forgoing a flywheel, this engine with its generator has a short installation length, using the entire generator as centrifugal mass. Another highlight is certainly the extension of our 1B engine family which has been extended by adding the types 1B27 (280 cm³) and 1B50 (504 cm³). These models bridge the gap between the 1B20 and the 1B30 in terms of performance. Moreover, the 1B50 provides us with a top new engine design.
